I asked for a military discount and was told that is only offered to active duty military in uniform, I served and am a veteran and the spouse of a 30 year disabled retiree so why do you not offer a discount for those of us that put in our time and have been honorably discharged. I feel that is a slap in our face and very disrespectfull. The food I have tried has been good but I don't want just potatoes with my steak, a green vegetable should be offered and the grilled onions are not grilled enough, when I ask for grilled that is what I want not half raw.

everyone at the naco location is fine except for the GM or whom i'm told is the GM. Manuela was extremely rude to me as a customer and i noticed to her employees as well. all i did was tell her my food came out cold when she brought it out to me and she simply refused to do anything about it and i heard her in the back AND where i can see her yelling at her employees and treating them with massive disrespect. i will not be going back due to her actions, and i'm telling everyone i know about my experience as well.

Chicken fried steak was delicious. Lightly battered and not grease. Onion rings, mashed potatoes, and the corn bread were perfect.

This was by far the worst mexican food I have ever had so far. Their refried beans are RANCH STYLE beans not pinto; ( Yuk ), the cheese in their enchiladas is white and has no favor; their spanish rice was terrible and the taco meat tasted bad and didn't look good either. Their BLT; ( which cost $ 3.99 ) only had two little strips of over cooked bacon. You can't even taste the bacon when you're eating it. All you taste is the bread. They even forgot to add the tomatoes to the sandwich. Their sausage is the worst I've ever had; besides the fact it was over cooked, tasted like something you would find in NYC. They don't have any tomatoes on their salad. Just lettuce. ( Boring ) And our chicken fried steak had the gravy under the steak, not on top..cheap, cheap, cheap. But !!! The onion rings were very good but very over priced. The service was very good and the people are friendly but the cook needs a new job. All in all, avoid this place if you're looking for good and fair price food....This is not the place to go.

I had a great experience with Tip Top. We were served by Sabrina at a booth. She was knowledgeable about the menu and the history of Tip Top. She even proudly pointed out the baker of the pies (who did an amazing job!). She was very friendly and attentive to our needs and was a big part of why I liked and will remember Tip Top. She said that most people get the chicken fried steak and she prefers the cheese burger medium cooked. We ordered the cheeseburger, chicken livers, and the chicken fried steak with lemon meringue pie and blue berry pie after. The biscuits that came with the food were phenomenal. The entrees were ok. You get what you order but it wasn't anything to suggest. The pies were some of the best I've tried here in San Antonio. the meringue of the lemon meringue pie was HUGE and very good. I will definitely be coming back here. It's an intimate historical place to go with great service and great pies!
