05/03/2015 4:36 am"Too cute for words", this midpriced Chelsea "standout" near the High Line dishes up "decadent" Southern standards "with a slightly modern twist", backed by "delish cocktails"; "easy-with-a-smile" service helps keep the mood "happy." |

03/26/2015 10:02 pmCocktails are fantastic, as is the whisky selection; food is so-so. 9$ Mac and cheese...generic. Ribs: great sauce but not a lot of meat. |

03/03/2015 8:52 amWent there last month and was a complete disaster. We got there at 6pm and told them we had to be out by 7:15. We were told they had a thick and creamy soup. We ordered that, a salad, and an entree. The soup arrived and was watery and tasteless. We sent it back. 45 minutes later we still hadn't received our meal. Meanwhile a couple seated next to us after we sat down was already on their main course. I asked couldn't we just get a basic salad. They said they didn't have one despite on the menu saying "simple salad"! The manager tried to make it up to us but it was too little too late. We stormed out barely making our show. I wouldn't go back if you paid me. Never ever again. |

12/31/2014 10:50 amI've been here for every kind of meal, and I most prefer it as a brunch spot -in terms of food and vibes. Make a reservation ahead of time and try to get a table in the back room - the ambience is much better. It's also a good place to meet up for an early drink date and sit at the bar. |

08/10/2014 7:18 pmHad made a 1 PM brunch reservation for today. They kept us standing, waiting, scrunched up aganst the bar, for 1/2 hour. Gave us free cocktails, and upon delivery, the waiter spilled two of them upon one of our party. Soaked his shirt. "Oh, gosh, horribly sorry," great fussing about, wiping up of shirts, apologies. new drinks brought. Then they kept trying to bring us the wrong food, and when the correct order arrived, they had NO idea who ordered what. Massive confusion. And if the appalling service weren't enough, the noise level was loud. The food was okay, no more, no less. It's good Southern food only if you've never eaten good, contemporary southern food. Just sorry we didn't leave after waiting 20 minutes. Do yourself a favor; walk on by. there are simply too many great and fun brunch places in Chelsea to pack yourself in here and spend the next hour bellowing your conversation to your companions, and hoping for the best from the staff. |
