12/22/2014 10:34 pmBest sushi restaurant I've tried in BR. Most stuff in the menu (especially sashimi!) are cheaper than any other sushi restaurant I've been but had very good quality. The customer service was spectacular. Definitely recommended. |

04/11/2013 11:38 pmThis is the best sushi I've had in this city. The service is unbelievable I've never walked into a restaurant time after time and felt so welcome and cared for. Every single staff member is polite and attentive, my absolute favorite sushi menu which you can add or mix or do whatever to any roll, I must say I have never had a bad experience here and I probably will not eat sushi anywhere else because I want to spend my hard earned money at this establishment. Oh, and the owners are the friendliest guys you will ever meet. Please don't pay attention to bad reviews, that is surely not regular service from this restaurant. |

11/25/2012 3:33 amMy wife and I live in Pensacola but originally from Baton Rouge. We decided to take my younger siblings (20 and 17) out to eat at Tokyo Cafe. We decided to get appetizers and sushi. I was the only one that has the appetizers. The edamame was by far the worst I've ever had and the miso soup was ok. As far as the sushi (Philadelphia roll, snow crab roll, and crunchy crab roll)(we each ate a different roll and didn't taste the other's rolls), it tasted ok until I crunched on some rock like substance. We finished our food and left. Before we even made it back to ours cars, we all had bad stomach cramps. Honestly we were lucky to make it back to Port Allen before having a bowel movement on ourselves. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy!!! |

07/25/2012 6:52 pmMy wife and i had just moved to BR. This is the best sushi resturant in town. We had been to so many sushi places none of the others can compare to Tokyo cafe. They have great services and special rolls either raw or cooked. Their Hibachi is also great! For sure the Chefs can SHOW and COOK. If you were in town and cant think of where to eat.Def give them a try they will change your whole experiance on sushi and Habachi. Excellent!!! |

02/04/2012 3:35 amThe waitress took my husband's order, left, and didn't take my order until long after his food had arrived. I ordered two sushi rolls without eel sauce because I hate it. When my food finally came, both were drowned in eel sauce. The baked salmon appetizer is actually two giant blobs of chopped up imitation crab stick with a molecule of salmon smacked on top. Everything took forever, especially the check. The food was extremely overpriced. There are MUCH better places for sushi in this city. The miniscule tip we left was much more than what was earned. We will not be back. |
