01/07/2015 3:12 pmThe reason my wife and I came to Tom's Tavern was to celebrate her retirement after twenty years of working in the Maricopa court system. I was hoping this would be something we would remember with fond memories, but what we experienced was not that. |

11/12/2013 3:35 amFor food, their fish and chips were the stand out. Everything else was just mediocre. Food is overpriced for the area/quality. The drink prices were reasonable. |

03/22/2012 2:03 amThere's nothing especially wrong with Tom's from what I could tell. The food is standard and straight-forward. You're not going to get the most knock-out food you've ever had, but it's decent and above average. Price is a little bit of an issue, I thought the portion size was good but my meal probably could have been $2 cheaper. The beer selection was pretty basic, a few local microbrews mixed with some bigger national brews, but not a lot of choice. Tom's is a good place for a quick sit-down lunch with work colleagues or friends, or as a dressed-up after work happy hour spot that's not a dive bar but also not a cocktail lounge. If you don't feel like going the Copper Blues route, and aren't into the Tilted Kilt, but want a spot to kick back with a cold one and shoot some pool after 4:30-5, this is a good spot for that. The service was fine, no problem there. |
