05/01/2016 2:11 pmThis place is great! Simple and easy, and tastes good. I don't know if it's true "Mongolian" food but who cares? It's a great buffet for a reasonable price. It's really filling and I was very satisfied. Ask for eggs in your bowl. I do agree with another reviewer who says it's hard to really impact the flavor of your food by changing ingredient combinations. It's pretty much the same each time, but I thought it was good so I can't complain. |

01/31/2016 12:59 amIs everyone reviewing the same restaurant? I was so misled by Ton's excellent rating. The reviewer who mentioned the spaghetti noodles in lieu of the proper udon was totally right-- the noodles were poor quality, ALL the meat was literally frozen and the sauces were lack-luster. There's really no room for customization? Like, at all. I tried making my own stir fry three different times and in every instance there was no differentiation of flavor. The food is honestly just drastically below par. It isn't fresh, and it isn't tasty. I don't know why anyone would go here unless it's just because it's cheap. The fair pricing and the ice cream are the only things keeping my review from a 1/5. everything else about Ton's is really unpleasant (the complete and utter silence of the restaurant included). I wouldn't recommend this to a friend. |

11/18/2015 4:43 pmForget paying twice as much at Ghengis Grill. While it's true that they have a few extra options at GG, Tons has the core offerings, and is a MUCH better value. The food is always of good quality, and the service is pretty quick. GG is just one of those places for people who are afraid of Asian food. It's about as authentic as PF Changs (which means, not at all). |

07/26/2015 8:05 pmWe LOVE this place and their food. It is the best Mongolian Grill with the best variety, the most sauces with explanation on how much to use, and they finish off with delicious creamy ice cream. We drive from Ft. Worth to this place. Our complaint is that the staff do not speak very much English and we've had problems. One time over a communication about iced tea; and this last time we asked the cashier to split our check. She laughed and said to us: "So your son is buying everyone's?" We all laughed. But she went ahead and ran his card. We told her that we had been SERIOUS about splitting the check, but to no avail. She kept laughing. It really "soured" us. They must learn American quiet tact or politeness or something. Anyway, that's the only reason for my 3 stars. My son is still upset about that. |
