Worst sub roll I have ever tasted. You can't make a good sub without good bread. Not only did it have no taste it was stale as well.

After being here for almost two years I finally found the best Italian sandwich in the valley. Freshly cut prosciutto, salami, pepperoni, and smoked mozzarella on a freshly baked and lightly toasted Italian roll seasoned with garlic butter and herbs. This sandwich was twice the size of a Subway BMT with double meat and less expensive even with a freshly made cannoli for desert. The deli itself is obviously quite old with an atmosphere of being in an actual Italian mercato with an amazing selection of authentic imported Italian groceries. The owner is a Sicilian born, Brooklyn NY native and an absolute pleasure to talk with. How does this guy not have a chain of these???? Awesome experience!!!!!!!!!!!

I have frequented Tony's Italian Deli for 40 years - it is tradition for my family to have Tony's subs every Christmas Eve and Superbowl is not Superbowl without a couple six foot subs! This is the best deli in the Phoenix area by far. The family owned and operated shop is friendly and welcoming to every customer that comes through the door.
Everyone in the Phoenix area should stop by Tony's at least once - that's all it takes to get hooked on this wonderful sandwich shop/deli. Prefer to make your own subs - they have everything you'll need and/or want.
