Toojay's Gourmet Deli, Sarasota, Florida Restaurant Details

TooJays has got to be the best Deli in Sarasota! I've been there several times, and am always impressed with the quality of the food. The portions are very generous, and I get something different every time and its always delicious. Best smoked salmon I've ever had, it melts like butter in your mouth! A great place for the whole family to eat!

This TooJay's has a nice atmosphere and a great selection. Our server was very helpful, although he never did refill my empty water. Definite downside was my meal choice. I ordered one of their specials, a chicken tortilla soup. The soup itself was fine, but the chicken used was very chewy and had a slightly off taste I can't quite put my finger on. To their credit, I did not mention this to the restaurant as I was juggling a couple children and was in a bit of a hurry. I'd go here again since this was probably just a fluke. Chocolate cake was excellent.

Food there was awesome, so was the decor, service good but could be better.
