Top Of Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii Restaurant Details

Absolutely disgusted with this place. So god damn expensive for the smallest amount of food. The food was average but not as great as the cheesecake factory or the yard house.
The waiter was rude and unhelpful.
We went for my sisters 21st birthday and they didn't bring out any complimentary ice cream or little cake like the yard house did the night after.
We bought our own cheese cake to top of Waikiki and were told it was a $3 fee each person to have the cheesecake cut.
When the waiter gave us the bill without asking if we were ready, we asked if we could have the bill split into everyones individual order. No other restaurant has even hesitated to do this for us. However our waiter here said "you guys should have told me this a lot earlier." Then just walked away without even continuing the conversation. We sat at the restaurant on my sisters 21st birthday for 45 minutes trying to work out what each person had to pay because our waiter wouldn't split it for us. After working this out and paying, the waiter took the bill and came back with it and said "there was no tip included in this amount of money, ten suggested amount to tip is on the bottom"
I felt this was very VERY rude of him to say especially when we had received such poor service.
We felt like we had to run out of the restaurant before he asked for more money as a tip. Never returning again. The cheesecake factory is a lot better than this restaurant and you get more for your money with a lot nicer food.

The menu here was also the smallest menu I've ever seen. Not much of a variety to pick from. $17 for two tiny crab cakes and $45 for a little pork chop and a few burnt veggies.

The only good thing about this restaurant is the view. The food poisoning my wife got, the unfriendly terrible service we had and the ok at best food did not come anywhere close to making the view worth it. With the food tasting ok the 2 scallops appetizer, steak, surf and turf special and a desert made this far from being worth 150.00. My suggestion is go somehwere esle for the food and either pay to go parasailing or hike to diamond head for the view.

Drinks were awesome. Wait Staff was awesome.
Why 3 Stars? I ordered the Duck. The white meat was under cooked and the dark meat was over cooked. They should learn to prepare duck or remove it from the menu.

Over all it was a good experience, great photos of the family at sunset.

LOVE this place! The food was probably the best I've had & cheaper than Ruth's Chris. Went late & the view probably would have been better earlier. But our waiter was on point, recommended great wine pairings. So, so happy. can't get over how wonderful every thing was!

This place is incredible! The negative reviews must have been from the past, as the food here is AMAZING. Seriously... Wife said (and I agree) that the Caesar salad was the best she's had in her life! The Cioppino and the Duck were to die for... the bread, everything!
The atmosphere was great, this would be a great place for dates. The rotation is almost perfect for the entire meal, so you get to see all of Waikiki! No other place even comes close. Highly recommended, polite and timely service, great attitudes, 5 stars, without a doubt
