Those in the know say these separately owned Mexicans are "worth driving across town" for fresh tortillas and "breakfasts all day" at prices that are easy on the wallet; though both are family-friendly, the Southtown outlet is open until 10 PM.

Closed at 8 pm when the sign on the door, website, and Google says 10 pm. Their business hours are dictated whenever it's convienant for them. If you plan eating here, call ahead at least 3-4 hours in advance to make sure they'll be open.

The food is okay, but the service is appalling. To my knowledge, it's in the job description of a waiter's job that they are supposed to, I don't know, wait on people! Anytime I asked for a refill, or when I asked for a to go box, the irritation in my waitress's voice as well as on her face made it apparent that it was just too much for her to handle. She never brought me my box so I had to ask the busboy, who was more than happy to get it for me and in a timely fashion. I don't plan on coming back anytime soon, if ever. It has changed so much.

I dined here for the first time yesterday...I will never come back. Alot of my family and friends said this place was a great place to eat. I sat at a high top table next to the fountain drinks, and while I was enjoying my food several roaches crawled out of the wall and were crawling next to my table and the fountain drink station. I was very disgusted to say the least. The manager apologized and didn't charge me for the food, which I would not have paid anyway. I reported this to the public health inspector, I felt sick after just knowing food was in my stomach that roaches could have possibly touched.

Affordable poor quality mexican food. Used to be a pretty good mexican restaurant and a favorite place to eat on Sundays, very disappointed the past couple of times I went. Ordered the huevos rancheros and it was just a grease covered $3.99 disaster. Would give 1 star, however it used to be pretty decent so I giving them a chance to turn things around. Hopefully they will.

Come for the mediocre food, stay for the bigotry.

As for my experience, the food was so-so. How can a Mexican place this mediocre survive here in SA? Surprising as the reviews are so good. Ordered the grilled chicken that comes on a cast iron skillet. The server placed the knife on the skillet with the plastic handle resting on the hot skillet melting it. Found this out after grabbing the knife and burning my hand with melted plastic. Informed the server and she just shrugged and said "I told you it was hot.". Hot? I expected the skillet to be hot and avoided touching it. But the utensils used to eat the food? Let's just say, after this and the owner and friends holding anti LGBT signs in front of the shop, we will never come back here again.
