The back garden is great for summer nights, and the Pimm's is excellent!

a group of us went there this past Friday to celebrate one of our friends 21st Birthday. We heard great reviews of this place, but were extremely shocked and disappointed when the bouncers started to verbally harass our friend who just turned 21 about her outfit (she was wearing a long black dress) and two other girls. The fact that an establishment like this has two guys outside trying to do their job is okay, but when they represent your bar and start acting like clowns that just drives away business. Do not go here

We went for my mother's 75th Birthday Outing - was just four of us so the booth in the dining area was perfect. She especially liked that the backs of the seats were not only comfortable but tall.

Friendly hosting greeted and seated us right away (thank goodness 'cause parking was a bit scarce)but she is a city lover and DC resident for over 25 years so the short stint didn't even faze her!

Our service was exceptional! The wait staff were right on. Pleasant, courteous didn't hover but our needs were met quickly and graciously. Thanks Mike, it was wonderful to see my mother enjoy herself!

The food. WOW! We came for brunch (our original destination had closed) so stumbling onto this gem was adventurous and have to say it was delicious! Mom had their Benedict, my daughter had French toast, my aunt and I had their two egg meal. We started with an order of the Apple Fritters as an appetizer,4 to 4 (again thanks for the suggestion Mike, scrumptious!). From the bacon, ham & sausage with Hall Fries (mom wanted to know what half-fries were:)) to the deserts, this was probably the best brunch I have had in years! Reasonably priced we left full, content and had a great time!

Oh have to shout out about their Bloody Mary, SPECTACULAR! Spicy compliment to the meal!

Good would be an understatement!

I'm a big fan of this expansive bar and restaurant in Glover Park, particularly it's beer garden and upper deck patio. It's a refreshing change of pace from Adams Morgan and U Street. A little classier, a little calmer, a little more Georgetown-y.

A good beer selection, nice wine and cocktails if you prefer that too. My favorite though, are the Jerk chicken wings. They're spicy, full of flavor, and come with a great sauce. I love them so much I stole the idea for my July 4 bbq.

The only downside is that if you don't live in Glover Park - and I don't - it's a real pain to get to in terms of public transportation. That said, in these glorious days of splitting Uber rides, it's not as difficult as it used to be.
