07/26/2011 1:04 amTownhouse Tavern has always been a dive staple in DC culture. But under new management, Dominic has made incredible strides to make this "a dive bar you can bring a date to". Whether you want to make this a stop by after dinner, start off here with a patio cocktail, or just spend the whole night bouncing between downstairs/upstairs and outside... this place has something for everyone with a dive-y spirit of adventure. The PBR and Jameson shots flow smooth. Free billiards on Wednesday make for a unique chance to connect with the regulars. The sassy and competence bartenders will go round for round with you on the jukebox. And when you need to detach, you can hang out on their front patio to watch some of the Dupont foot traffic color the sidewalks. Keep up the good efforts THT, you're a gem of the city. And yes, I plan on setting a new record on Photo Hunt before long. |

12/08/2009 6:05 pmThis is a great bar. Under new management it has improved the video games, added a pool table, and hired some great bartenders. The kitchen is being renovated, can't wait to see what they do with it. |

02/11/2008 6:43 pmI love this bar. They have beer I can have more than one of without breaking the bank, the bartenders are great, and I love the ambience. To have a bar be just a bar in the middle of the Dupont Circle area really is a treat. Go here! |
