01/18/2016 5:20 pmFor prior poster, Mark Justice, and others. The reason the english muffins, pizza dough and other bread items go bad so quickly is because Trader Joe's brands contain NO PRESERVATIVES. In my opinion, that is a great thing!! I put my muffins, bagels, breads in the freezer and defrost to eat as needed. I LOVE knowing there's a store that cares about what chemicals are put into their products. Further, my understanding is that Trader Joe brands contain NO GMOs. I love the organic selections available and have many seasonal items I come back for every year. Try the Sky Valley Heirloom oranges (January - March). One of the best oranges I've ever had. I buy 5-lb bags for $3.99 and they last me 1-1/2 weeks! The Ward Parkway Trader Joe's has some of the best customer service I've ever known. They have customer calls lists; just ask and they'll call you when something comes in (seasonally new or a temporarily out of stock item). I've NEVER had an employee there be anything but super nice, even when interrupted! That might just be why they are always packed on weekends!! Thank you! |

07/01/2015 4:17 pmGetting frustrated with the quality of their food. Purchased a package of english muffins on this most recent Friday, and by the following Wednesday, they were moldy. Have also had issues with their fresh pizza dough. Seems as though some of their perishables need to be consumed almost instantly before they are expired. You always need to check the expiration date on their products, and even then, you may be better off just to not buy the product - i.e. there isn't even one of the given product that has more than a few days left before it goes bad. |
