Trader Vic's is one of the best things about living downtown. Great food, friendly staff, excellent food and drinks in a fun atmosphere.

This place is wonderful. I come for DragonCon every year, and this place is a must every time I visit.

Trader Vik's had extremely slow service when I visited. It took nearly an hour and twenty minutes to get my food. After 45 minutes of this agitating wait I asked my waiter how much longer food would be. He responded "5 minutes." I then spent another half hour being avoided by service staff while waiting for my fried rice. It seemed as though they distributed drinks randomly instead of to who ordered them and the food I purchased was far to expensive.

Needless to say I will not be returning to Trader Vik's anytime soon.

Okay I totally gave Trader Vic's four stars alone just on the strength of their Mai Tais. Yeah, it is that deep!

I went to Trader Vic's for a friend's birthday party and at first I was like, "Meh" after reading the on line menu. I mean for one, $20+ for some Polynesian food?! I think not! However, it was my friend's birthday and she is special enough to put my food snobbery aside. I am soooo glad I did.

Trader Vic's has the most powerful drinks I have had in forever. I ordered one Mai Tai and I was in love. I'm a bang for your buck type of girl, and boy did they deliver the bang. Literally one Mai Tai was all I needed to have a huge silly smile on my face. But, don't worry even though the drink was strong it did not taste bad in any shape or form. Something that usually happens when the bar does not skimp on the spirits.

Yep, I will be going back to Trader Vic. I hear they have Mai Tai specials. Score!!!!
