Trattoria Roma, Columbus, Ohio Restaurant Details

My husband and I went to Trattoria Roma for Valentine's Day. Our waitress was pleasant, but it took nearly an hour to get our food and she never uttered a word of apology or anything regarding our wait. (It wasn't her fault the restaurant was busy and kitchen slow, but she should have acknowledged that and apologized - at the very least when the food finally arrived.) When the meals did arrive, my food was slightly warmer than room temp, and my broccoli was overcooked, but it tasted good. My husband was happy with his chicken parmesan. We ordered chicken fettuccini alfredo to go home with us for our daughter, but it looked more like chicken and noodles. There was no alfredo sauce at all and the chicken was very dry with a slightly odd flavor. She didn't like it, and neither did I. It went straight into the trash. I'd never been to Trattoria Roma before and as much as I wanted to like it, I wasn't impressed.

Trattoria Roma is one of the best Italian restaurants in Columbus! Perfect for a date night or for a rehearsal or reception dinner! Definitely try their tiramisu, it's out of this world!

Old school Italian food, with nice modern touches separates Trattoria Roma from the rest.
From the well trained and attentive service, to the beautiful art on the walls to the free jazz music on Thursdays, there is much to love at this long time Grandview favorite.
The wine list is good, without being overwhelming. The Owner really interacts with the customers and wants nothing but the best every time you walk in.

You have to try the polenta with gorgonzola cream sauce. It is out of this world and goes great with the hot garlic bread.

This is by far and away the best Italian restaurant around! It has the most authentic and diverse menu that is unlike any other place in Columbus. If you have the pleasure of getting Chef Matt you're in for a treat he is the best in Columbus! The staff is super friendly, especially the owner Shawn. And the mood is instantly set when you walk in. My favorites are the Bruschetta for appetizers, Pollo Diavolo and Rotolo di pasta for dinners, and if you do not try the cheesecake like Tiramisu you will hate yourself. I rave about this place to family and friends. Love it!

P.S. They always have wine and beer tastings that are over the top!
