"Creative", "excellent" New American "casual food" from Andy Husbands isn't the only thing going for this "playful", colorful South End "staple" – it also "keeps things interesting" with themed events like $2 taco Tuesdays and, "if you are daring enough", weekend brunches when "everyone" (including the "accommodating" staff) dresses in their pajamas.

Best food in Boston. On my birthday they gave me a free desert and a gift!

Nice atmospheric South end restaurant. The bartender really knows his stuff. The cocktails are expertly made and creative. The food is quite good too.

I had eaten here several (many) years ago, and was delighted that it was still going strong. We made reservations, which we probably didn’t need on a Monday night, but you never know.
We followed the waiter’s suggestion to get different things to share, so ended up ordering a little bit of everything.
Service was very quick, the waitperson was very knowledgable about the menu, very personable, and made sure that we were happy. The owner, Andy, stopped by the table and I had to congratulate him on his success for 18 years at that spot.
The brussell sprouts were great, the wontons were delicious (although a bit spicy for me!), literally everything we tried was top notch, hot, beautifully presented.
When we asked about dessert, the waiter said they really didn’t have much in the way of sweets, but he’d see what he could find. He was, of course, joking, and brought out some incredible desserts. The chocolate brownie bacon concoction was to die for, as they say, although it was a bit too rich for one of my dining companions. The green tea ice cream was light and refreshing, a great compliment to the chocolate.
Again, congratulations to Andy and his staff—this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in years!

When people ask me where to dine for a great meal in Boston, I always recommend 647. The service is always friendly and polite, the food is innovative and fresh, and the the vibe is very laid back and welcoming. From brunch to dinner to happy hour bar snacks, this place rocks.

Good selection of drinks, menu is a bit all over the place but still great quality and flavors. Open air kitchen is a nice unique touch. Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to checking out the 2 dollar taco Tuesdays!
