03/31/2016 8:33 amThere's a well-crafted menu of new takes on French–New American staples at this reliable Theater District bistro, but it's really a wine geeks' paradise thanks to an exciting and comprehensive collection of bottles, including some library selections; it's pricey, but those who want to spend the money are rewarded with a special night out where service endeavors to make you feel at home amid intimate surrounds with nice views of Boston Common. |

12/31/2015 5:30 pmThe food and service were both great. Our hostess asked if we were seeing a show after dinner, and this information was relayed to our server, who got us through the meal and out just in time. The menu is limited in vegetarian options, but our server was helpful with information about that and also well-versed in their wines. The food was delicious; I had the whole fish and my wife had a pasta dish, and we both enjoyed desert as well. |

03/22/2015 2:28 pmJust an overall wonderful experience. We arrived a bit early for our reservation and sat at the little bar to wait. The bartender was skilled and attentive in just the right way. We were seated in a timely manner. The table for two is small but well appointed and didn't feel cramped. The food is just incredible. Even the bread and butter were delicious. We had the chicken and the duo of beef and both were cooked perfectly and were incredibly flavorful. We also had one of the appetizers from the special menu, a lamb-stuffed raviolo with broccoli rabe which was equally delicious. The desserts were beautiful and decadent, and I would highly recommend both the chocolate souffle and the meyer lemon tart. The wine list is extensive and the waitress was very knowledgeable and able to provide several lovely suggestions. The staff is polite and attentive without being overbearing. This is the best restaurant we have been to in Boston and we will definitely be back! |
