Jan 20th, 2015. After reading all 46 the reviews here and seeing a high score of 4.7 from 46 voters in this Google forum, I decided to give "Tu Casa" a try today. I just came back from having diner there. What a disappointment. I can't believe people give this restaurant such high reviews. I ordered pork (or "Lechon") plate. First of all the plate is 80% rice and 20% everything else. Second of all, the pork was disgusting. Very loaded with big chunks of white fat all over. When I say big guys.. I mean BIG I mean 2 inches by 2 inches plus Extremely greasy "liquid greasy". I got sick in the stomach because of the amount of grease that they cook it with. I just cannot believe that "Casa de Las Empanadas" on 1709 W Oak Ridge Rd. gets only a score of 2.9 from the voters in Google while voters give a much higher score to "Tu Casa". ABSOLUTELY NOT GUYS. Comparing the two places, although the pork in Casa de Las Empanadas is also greasy (I mean liquid greasy), I went there three times this week and even ordered 3 lbs of pork for a party I had at my house two days ago (on Saturday) and did NOT find ANY chucks of grease there. Their pork (or "Lechon") (at the Empanadas places) is much better. I will NOT come back to Tu Casa everrrrrrrr !!! Be clear that I do not have any link or relationship with "Casa de Las Empanadas" at ALL. I'd love to find a place with as lean meat as possible. My score for Tu Casa is 1.5 and for Casa de Las Empanadas is a 3.5.
