Food:

The potato pie was okay; a bit lukewarm so I wish the server had heated it a little longer. The roasted brussels sprouts were too oily for my taste. Not sure I would come by again; I've never felt a craving to return since that first visit.

The shop is small and simple. They do have the basic meat pie options, but being from New York I like to try the special/seasonal flavors. The thai chicken pot pie was spicy, flavorful, crispy, and good enough to fill me up for lunch.

I agree with Roman Hans' review. The beef meat pie ($6) is great and worth getting if you're not too hungry since it is relatively small. The beers are priced at $6, so keep that in mind if you're looking to spend below $10 on a meal. Like Roman said, the staff was generally indifferent about us.

Stumbled upon this place during my lunch break. I'm always looking for tasty, affordable lunch spots, and Tuck Shop fits the bill for the most part. At $7+ tax, I got a traditional beef meat pie and a small kale salad. The meat pie has a great thick crust, and the filling was flavorful, if not entirely filling. No, this isn't the spot to pig out necessarily, but I left rather satiated! No falling asleep at my desk after this meal. Worth a try if around the area. I'll definitely be back to try their other varieties!

Four stars pretty much sums it up. The pies are really good, of course with the New York diversity of beef, chicken and vegetarian options. The prices are okay: currently $5 for a pie that's not particularly semi-filling. I think anybody who's ever been here will agree on deducting a star or two for the customer service. If you're not in their clique or a regular, they honestly could not care less about you.
