04/09/2016 2:45 pmFans say the "spicy" Thai cooking at this welcoming Uptown venue is "like a well-executed square dance", with "complex weavings of flavor, texture and color" that offer "good value"; it's a "good sign" that the "cute", "low-key" space is "always busy." |

12/05/2015 5:35 pmWhen I want to bring someone out to eat, the first place I recommend is Tum Rup Thai! Every dish is delicious, and a full meal, sometimes two meals! Plus, the dishes are what everyone should expect: full pieces of vegetables and more than just one kind of vegetable, generous slices of meat if you get meat, and the recipes are packed with flavor, you get more than your money's worth. Service is fast, friendly, and accommodating. We've tried almost every Thai place in Minneapolis, -this- is the one to go to. |

11/17/2015 2:41 amOne of the first thai places I visited in town. Great selection of various dishes. Something for everybody. And believe their 'heat scale'. They can bring the heat. |

08/23/2015 9:49 pmFood is delicious. Service is lacking at least on this Sunday afternoon. It took 5 minutes to get acknowledged. 12 minutes to get a glass of water. Another ten minutes for my glass of wine that was served to me in a dirty glass. There was a fly in the spice rack. The server offered no apology whatsoever for the delay or the fly. The food is delicious so they have that going for them. Chances of returning or recommending....slim to none. |

08/05/2015 3:27 amOur lunch experience last Friday began with being ignored for 5 minutes while waiting at the entrance to be seated. It wouldn't have been so bad if it were busy, but there were no more than 5 parties in the entire restaurant. We were finally seated, then ignored again for another 10-15 minutes. We were finally able to order, then at least another 20 minutes passed before our food arrived. By this time, we had forgotten what we ordered, and it was time to return to work. We sent the food back and asked to be billed for the 2 spring rolls we were able to devour while watching other patrons enjoy their meals. I MIGHT give them another chance down the road....as long as I'm not very hungry. |

06/09/2015 8:11 pmFavorite Thai place in the Twin Cities. Great value, especially if you and order from their lunch menu! They make their arnie palmers with jasmine or green tea and it's delicious :) Their pad thai is great, Tom Ka soup is amazing, spring rolls good, all around great. Good services, and delicious fortune cookies that are different than what you get at a standard asian restaurant. Parking is a bit inconvenient, but street parking is available or a lot out back. |
