Great food 7 & ambience! A great surprise was that we were here for opera week - live opera music all evening. A great night.

I would describe this restaurant as ok. The decor is very nice and the service was good. The main issue with this restaurant is that there is nothing particularly memorable about their food. We started with the calamari and while it was seasoned very well the calamari was overly chewy. My husband ordered the veal chop with risotto, and while the his veal was good it was not cooked as he requested. The risotto that came with it was very good. I ordered the gnocchi all a fornarnia. The gnocchi that topped the bread bowl and was around the bread bowl was very good, but the gnocchi that was baked inside the bread bowl had an odd flavor and was incredibly overcooked. We ordered desserts as well and the cannoli was amazing, but very over priced (we got two very small cannolis). I ordered the tiramisu and there was no flavor at all. I could not taste any espresso and there was so much cocoa powder on top that I ended up inhaling it several times, which was not enjoyable at all. All in all I will not return to this restaurant. The food was not bad, but it certainly was not good and not worth the price we paid.

Service was crummy. Our server took a very long time to ask for our orders and never checked on us. In addition, all of the other staff seemed to have tunnel vision. Never scanning the room to check whether any customers are trying to flag assistance.

The food was very average on the whole. The bread was a let down. I expect Italian restaurants to bring out warmed fresh bed, but their bread was akin to Wonder bread. When the server displayed the dessert tray it was covered in plastic wrap. Talk about unappetizing.

The atmosphere was nice, but it certainly was not enough to make up for the other flaws.

I have gone here at least ten times, and I could not speak better of a restaurant.
The gnocchi fiorina almost made me break out into opera (thankfully for the other patrons I didn't). This is perfect for two or ten, as they have a number of different sized but still intimate tables. Also, once a month they bring in opera singers to serenade you for free during dinner.
