Read reviews before trying and, unfortunately, they were spot on. Food was quite good. Service terrible.

Friday night there is a piano lady. Good place for a romantic dinner. Good soup, great pasta, the pizza wasn't so good.

My fiance and I went to the Tuscany Grill in hopes of having a nice Valentines dinner. When we arrived, we came into a lovely small bar and then were guided to the actual restaurant. We ended up waiting 10 minutes just for the host to figure out where to seat us in the pretty empty restaurant. When we were seated, we were handed Valentine's Day dinner options only. I was kind of surprised for this since no mention of the small dinner options were told to us when we made the reservation, yet again we just went along with it. After seating for about another 15 minutes, our waiter finally came to our table to introduce himself and get our drink order, which I ordered a glass of Moscato and my Fiance asked for the list of beers on tap since the waiter "couldn't remember" the simple list. Once again it took about 10-15 min. just for him to come back with the list of beers. I noticed that there were a lot of food options cooked with almonds and walnuts, which got me nervous since I am very allergic to nuts. 10 min, later AGAIN, my wine and his beer came, which my wine was very warm and was obviously not kept in a cooler of any kind. When I placed my concern for my nut allergy to the waiter he seemed to not be bothered by my deadly allergy and just said , " I'm not sure, I don't think so..." ..... not very comforting to say the least. So my fiance turned to the manager and asked him, which all I received for an answer was.. " only olive oil. only olive oil"... again not very comforting. We should have just left after that, but again trying to be patient, we ordered our food after waiting probably 45 min now. The entrees were coupled with a "HOUSE SALAD", which when it arrived at our table, the waiter handed me a salad "he thought didn't have walnuts on it..." but ending up handing me the one that yes indeed had the walnuts added to it. Good thing I double checked before eating it. But yet without even asking us, he put walnuts on my fiances' salad.. DUDE IF I'M ALLERGIC TO NUTS, THAT MEANS I CANNOT KISS MY FIANCE IF HE HAS NUTS.... dumbass.. so my fiance ended up not even eating the salad. The only great thing about the night was the Beef Filet that was delicious. The service was none the less incompetent, slow, rude, and instead of getting the bill we asked for our waiter walked around doing who's knows what for 45 min, to then return telling us we weren't allowed to us our gift card. We just told him to run our credit card in desperation to just leave the horrific so called "Fine Dining Restaurant". When the bill came, as a waitress myself, I told my fiance not to leave a tip. I have never been so applauded at the service we basically didn't receive for our "romantic dinner". On top of the experience alone, we got home, and there was a magical 20% added to our final bill. We called right away to speak to the manager about this, and his excuse was that the credit card company automatically adds that 20% but will be taken off when finalized.. um no they don't, as a waitress myself I know it doesn't work like that, but to be safe we called our credit card company to discuss what happened and they replied with " No we never do that, this would be fraud ". Never will we return to this horrendous place! The cook should look for a new job, cause unfortunately they food was amazing, but because of the lack of competent staff and management this place isn't worth it.

The food was delicious. Spinach artichoke dip, bread, house salad, Paella, duck breast, and chocolate lava dessert were all awesome. The environment was just ok, it felt like a hotel banquet room (it kind of is), but definitely worth a try!

Part one:

Absolutely horrible service, the food was mediocre.
The prime rib was tough, the hash browns were soggy so they were left untouched. As far as the price tags go, it was about right for the quality of the food BUT....service..... way under the fast food mark. Our server first blamed the bartender for losing our cocktail slip (mind you there were only 9 diners currently and a handful of patrons in the bar), fails to refill our waters. Upon receiving our tab, I waited 40 minutes for my server to bring back my card and payment slip. What blows me away after this.... I find out that my server fraudulently helped himself to a 15% gratuity on my card!!!!!! I left him a $0.00 tip for my experience there and he stole from me. The longer I waited, the more his tip decreased so he got what he deserved but I was in for a surprise in the end. I do not and WILL NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Part Two:

I spoke with 2 wonderful employees in regards to my experience there and kindly explained to me that their system has been designed to "hold" 15-20% automatically and that if no tip was left, the normal amount of the tab would be processed instead. I was in complete agreement with this. When I was asked "How can we make this better?", I decided to leave it up to them to find a suitable solution.

I just received a call from the Tuscany Grill today and thought there would be some sort of closure to this matter but instead, I got a very unprofessional Mr. Abdul, Tuscany Grill General Manager on the other line. Before we could talk, Mr. Abdul insisted that he needed to finish speaking before I could speak so I let Mr Abdul have the floor. Very angrily he expressed his opinion on this matter in short, he doesn't care if I don't like the food and that I shouldn't eat there again and they did not steal from me (mind you this review was in place BEFORE I spoke to anyone) and stated it might be the credit card companies doing.

When Mr. Abdul was finished, I stated that I did talk with 2 individuals from there and I understand what has happened but to Mr. Abdul, this was unacceptable and would not hear anything more, never the less, I never got to saying anything before Mr. Abdul abruptly stated that this conversation was over and hung up on me.

Very rude and unprofessional from one manager to another. Nothing has been rectified so my review will not change.

As a customer, I do expect to see the amount that I have signed in agreement to paying on my bank/credit card statement and also, I did expect more professionalism from Mr. Abdul.

I guess if this is Fitchburg's best kept secret...please do us all a favor and keep it a secret. I do not wish Mr. Abdul's communication on anyone...
