First of all they are called 'Woodlands'. Udupi Bhavan is owning company , not the restaurant name.
If you consider it a fast-food place decor is good, but if you consider it sit in restaurant, the decor will get low points. Because, although it is supposed to be a fast food place, lowest combo for lunch time is $8 and that for dinner time is $12. So prices are on par to non-fast-food restaurants.
Unless you are capable of eating plain spoon full of red chilli power, don't order anything other than Masala dosai or Grill Thali. I had been ordering Grill Thali everytime I go there and I was happy. One day I tried 'South Indian Thali' and man it was like eating two dish full of chilli powerder. In 'South Indian Thali', they give you 3 sabji, sambhar, rasam, daal, enough rice, but only 1 chapati, additional chapatis cost $2. So your dinner will definitely be more than $12 combo deal if you want additional chapati. But luckily for me, I saved the cost of extra chapati because the food was so badly spicy I just couldn't eat.
Don't get me wrong I have had dishes that are spicy because they are very very tasty. This was not tasty spicy, this was just plain spicy without taste. I may still go there for Grill Thali/ Masala Dosai during lunch time, but nothing else, and absolutely no dinner. Dinner here is just too expensive for a fast-food kind of restaurant. Other places give you all you can eat dinner buffet for $12 to $14. Quantity is not the problem, they give you more than you can eat for 1 time, but taste, decor and choice of food is not worth $12+ price for dinner.
