Nostalgic types love the history of this 1826-vintage destination near Faneuil Hall, a unique Boston experience billed as America's oldest continuously operating eatery, offering sublime chowder, divine oysters and other well-executed Yankee seafood classics, all for benign prices; dark woods, warped floors and oil painting–adorned walls lend a quaint vibe, and the servers are always nice, even when dealing with the touristy droves.

Clam chowder and oysters were great!! We shared the seafood platter which was plenty after oysters and soup! Lin was a great waitress! She kept it lively!

Great Boston cultural experience, with friendly service, and although expensive, very tasty food! Would definitely recommend it!

This place is great for the atmosphere and the food is pretty good but not worth the insane prices. We went there for the History mainly but payed heavily. The waitress who was pretty rude also decided to add a couple more dollars to the tip I left on my credit card, unfortunately for her I check my statements but I wonder how many other times this has happened here, had to dispute the charges with the CC company what a hassle. I would not recommend this place to anyone if it were not for the history of the building it is located in.

one of the best Bars in Boston, not only do they have great drinks and food, but the people that work the bar are the best! they treat you like family that likes you and appreciate you coming in. had a great night here and came back the second night because the experience was so great!

Me and my family were visiting Boston for looks at colleges so we decided to stop by this place.
This was probably a very good choice.

The waiters and waitresses were very nice and attentive, and refilled without asking.

The food was tremendous. Clam chowder was normal, but it was good.

Overall, define fly reccommend
