03/30/2016 6:57 pmNostalgic types love the history of this 1826-vintage destination near Faneuil Hall, a unique Boston experience billed as America's oldest continuously operating eatery, offering sublime chowder, divine oysters and other well-executed Yankee seafood classics, all for benign prices; dark woods, warped floors and oil painting–adorned walls lend a quaint vibe, and the servers are always nice, even when dealing with the touristy droves. |

12/09/2015 2:19 amThis place is great for the atmosphere and the food is pretty good but not worth the insane prices. We went there for the History mainly but payed heavily. The waitress who was pretty rude also decided to add a couple more dollars to the tip I left on my credit card, unfortunately for her I check my statements but I wonder how many other times this has happened here, had to dispute the charges with the CC company what a hassle. I would not recommend this place to anyone if it were not for the history of the building it is located in. |
