11/08/2015 3:32 amOne of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans for turtle soup! It is indeed very rich and they'll add as much sherry as you'd like. I used to live in the neighborhood and dined here quite frequently, usually got the tasting menu and it was well worth it. Love the fried green tomatoes, watercress salad with cheese & pecans, and for entrees the drum and also duckling. The owner is usually there, she's extremely personable as well as the rest of the wait staff. Excellent food and service all around. If you're visiting from out of town, you'll need to take a cab or the trolly up St. Charles avenue to Uptown, where Napolean and St. Charles Ave intersects - it's not far from there. For the turtle soup and fried green tomatoes it's worth the trip alone, in my opinion. The tasting menu is a good bet if you're not sure what to order. |

08/03/2015 1:05 amAbsolutely terrible, never notified about the change of reservation to 8pm then refused to hold a table for us. We were going to celebrate our sons graduation while in town and Joanne was rude and not accommodating. No food is good enough to put up with such poor customer service. Go elsewhere. |

My colleague Jim and I loved our meal and the service. The lamb shank was amazing! Thank you Upperline for a fabulous experience. |
