Urban Burrito, Asheville, North Carolina Restaurant Details

I had never been to an Urban Burrito but stopped at the Merrimon Ave. location in Asheville this weekend after discovering Poppa's and Beer was closed for Memorial Day. Fantastic food at a very reasonable price. A great variety to choose from. There were four of us and everyone's food was really good. I highly recommend!

Food:

This place is unbelievable! Best burrito I've eaten outside of SoCal! Not your typical Mexican burritos, way more delicious. I have no clue what the naysayers are talking about--I repent of ever eating at Moe's or Chipotle.

Food:

Went on an "escape Superbowl" evening out with my sister last evening. Steak Fajita's seemed very over cooked and not particularly fresh. My quesadilla was all right but not as good as previously enjoyed at this location. This evening...Food only fair.
A big plus-Our waitress (a young woman with blond hair in braids-please forgive my not remembering her name) demonstrated a capability not often observed, complete courtesy coupled with competence, pitch perfect timing and excellence. We'll give it another shot some time soon.

It's a burrito shop. You get a giant burrito. Flavor is just ok. I'd like to see better seasoned m meats and toppings. On North Merrimon this its the best place to get yer fast burrito on.

The food is over-priced for the quality level of the product. The burritos are tossed together haphazardly. We were charged an additional 50 cents for a few extra grains of cheap rice. The chicken is over-cooked, dry, and flavorless. The staff seems bored and unfriendly. Urban Burrito is just another rip-off of the vastly superior Chipotle national restaurant chain.
