Probably down rated due the recent visit. The corned beef and cabbage (on St. Patricks') was a let down, but I regret to say it usually is. The 'spiciness' to the beef was the best I've had, but it's main drawback was its chewiness.
It's a cafe with free covered parking when validated (awesome in summer). Choices of sandwiches, grill, soup, sit-down food (like the corned beef), pizza and salads. Been going for years and its consistently good. The soups and salads are awesome, though the soups go too soon and they don't make enough. Come in late? That's right, "No soup for you." Fresh made salad to order or ones ready to go - hard to go wrong with those ingredients. Recall the Philly cheesestake and burgers were very good. Beverage choices from fresh made strawberry lemonade to various types of tea (black, green and something else) lead to great Arnold Palmers.
Service almost always friendly.
Hard to go wrong - except for St Patrick's Day.
Almost forgot the ambiance - classy. Easy to impress folks just walking in and going up to the 2nd floor.
