08/12/2015 4:02 amI have been going to this VI for over 30 years, but the new Night Manager, Liz is TOTALLY disinterested in anything resembling customer service. Our waitress, once she brought the wrong drink order, couldn't be bothered to come back to take an order or check on us. After waiting over 25 minutes, we finally complained to Liz and asked for another waitress. After another 10 minutes with no one bothering to come by, we left. |

10/02/2011 11:40 amSince 2007-ish, the service at this Village Inn has rapidly declined. What used to house a full service night staff is now home t maybe 3 or 4 people who seem to not give an eff about what you eat, think or say. Honestly, I've never felt entirely comfortable paying for a plate at Village Inn. We all know the food at night is questionable, but lately the combination of the service and the food has sunk to an all time low. My good friend and I ordered nachos tonight and were served the driest, most un-appetizing plate a table could receive. I was offended the staff felt comfortable charging us for something a child could deliver. I then asked for chili sauce to mask the dryness of the beans, and I was brought a tiny portion of chopped green chili's (as opposed to the actual green chili sauce), and was told I could pour it on my plate myself. Now, of course I don't mind pouring it myself, but it's the fact that the staff did not take our plate and offer to apply TLC that bothers me. On top of our nacho issue, we only saw our waiter once in an hour time frame. This is not service worthy of a tip, so we didn't leave one. The atmosphere is ok, I mean you can always go with a group and stay as long as you'd like, but the place itself seemed under-staffed and miserable [at night]. Don't think I ever want to go there again. |
