Sadly, I have to leave a poor review. With almost every breakfast item there is meat - which doesn't work well for we vegetarians. Also, the look of disappointment on our servers face, when we ordered water to drink, was almost palpable.

Will it diminish your tip? Maybe - but good service can increase your tip. Extra napkins, and little touches of class would be nice.

Food - it's OK - but I never care for hash-browns that taste like they came off an uncleaned grill.

I used to come to Village Inn on a monthly basis. I stopped going after I had several poor visits. Decided to give it a try since my wife and I couldn't decide on a restaurant. Much nicer atmosphere than when I used to come by. It is decorated in a nice 50's style. We had really good service and our waiter was attentive and friendly. Huge menu with a lot of different choices, as long as what you want has meat. Vegetarian dishes were minimal and uninspiring. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. It was good but nothing special. Portions are huge and prices are low, so it has that going for it.

Went there for lunch. Not busy at all. Sat there with 4+ servers just staring at us. Waited around 15 minutes and left with no one to wait on us or ask what the problem was. Would never go back!

The service was terrible. I've seriously never had service that terrible at a restaurant. We waited 10 minutes for a server to notice we were there. It took the waitress 25 minutes to bring me a glass of orange juice. When I told the cashier about the service and said that I would not pay for the orange juice he gave me a disgusted look.
The best part of the whole experience was not paying for a $2.68 glass of orange juice.
I'm never going there again.

Good food and always have something new to try. I love the Ultimate Skillet!
