With "unique sushi rolls" and other "exquisitely prepared" Asian fare presented in a "vibrant", "see-and-be-seen" setting, this "über-chic" Gulch spot "feels like you are dining in a fabulous NY restaurant"; the comparison extends to "high" tabs and "hit-or-miss" service.

This place is really nice from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out! Our waiter Sam was amazing, knowledgeable about the food and drinks, was a funny guy to add. When I return to town I will visit again!

Ambiance is great but the main dishes are terrible. The SOUTHERN RAMEN had over cooked noodles and pork. DONBURRI BOWL CHICKEN MUSHITORI was served with boiled chicken and was completely flavorless. I suggest going to Two Ten Jack.

Absolutely, amazing. I attended a large birthday dinner of a friend at Virago. I happen to have a lot of food allergies (including soy) so I emailed Virago ahead of time. They promptly called me morning of to inform me that they had created a special menu around my allergies. To my surprise they really had created and actually printed off a special menu just for me! I've never had a restaurant go to such lengths to make sure I had safe choices. The food was phenomenal but the service was really quite amazing.

This place had sushi like nothing I've ever had! I normally don't care for sushi, but man, I was ready to eat all night at Virago. The TANTO Maki was my favorite. Don't forget to try some Ninja bacon either! That was way good. This is also the only place I've had real wasabi. Ask your waiter for it, its much better than the imitation junk.

The place didn't feel very crowded, which was nice. It was pretty quiet. The back wall with the rocks and lights looked pretty cool too.

If not for the incredibly poor customer service I received at Virago, I’d have given this restaurant a full 5 star rating. My girlfriend made us reservations for my 25th birthday, and we were very enthusiastic about our dinner. Upon entry, we were in awe of this beautifully decorated establishment. After we were seated, our server promptly greeted us and was very knowledgeable about the specials for Maki Monday which offers half-price select sushi rolls and 2 for 1 cocktails. We ordered a metropolitan, a wasabi martini, and a spicy yellow tail roll – all of which I highly recommend. We ordered another round of 2 for 1 cocktails, a sake flight and a lychee, along with a specialty roll called the Bomb. We decided to enjoy some of Virago’s highly hyped entrées.  Our server suggested the catch of the day, and since he hadn't steered us wrong yet so we trusted his judgment. They brought out the sake, the Bomb, and a specialty roll called Oishi that we did not order. To avoid being difficult, we didn’t say anything about the extra 17$ roll but did ask about the Lychee.

When our entree was delivered it smelled wonderful and  was presented beautifully. However, when we had tried our meal it was not very pleasant to our palates. It tasted very odd and for the price of the meal I felt that we could get something we would actually enjoy eating. So being a server myself , I very politely told our server that although we were happy with the presentation of our fish that it had not satisfied our taste buds. Id like to add that I have never sent any food item back until now. Being a good server he immediately informed his manager and this is where stars start to fall from my review. The manager was a snob. When we told him that we didn't enjoy our meal he became defensive  and made sure to inform us that it was a popular dish and that it was not his job to make sure that we enjoyed the meal. He also let us know that they didn't comp dishes and that he was basically doing us a favor by taking the entree off our bill. He left me feeling insulted and he came off quite superior. Even though he did remove the entree of our final bill I really didn't appreciate they way he handled the situation. You should never talk down to your customers. I currently work 3 separate jobs, all in hospitality, Four Points by Sheraton, The Club at Fairvue and Nissan Stadium. I found his attitude towards us quite condescending and because of his lack customer service skills I will not recommend Viragos to any patron who asks my opinion
