Probably the worst service I've had in Portland? All the bartenders do is stand around and complain during the day about how awful the manager is at scheduling. No filter on words, and don't seem to care when your glass is empty. And I've been here many, many times, only because it's within easy walking distance home and I'm usually not in a hurry when I go in.

This is unfortunate because it's actually a nice little bar with pretty good food. The cooks are super nice, too. It just seems to be the women who work the bar. Not attentive whatsoever and don't seem to care.

Just left this disaster. Husband's food arrived undercooked...waitress says my food is on the way...husband finishes what he can of poorly prepared food...my dinner is still missing, as is the waitress. Decided at this point to just ask for a to go box should we ever be graced with the presence of my food, as we have somewhere to be. Finally burger arrives...sans tots. I am told the cook is working on the tots, and had we just mentioned the other messed up food she would have fixed it. Wtf?? When was I to mention this??? You haven't come back with my food!! I just wanted to have dinner (which still hasn't happened) WITH my husband. Never again! Terrible!

Very comfortable, easy going, and great sandwiches (gluten free bread available).

Went there for happy hour, and it was a great deal! Good portions, good price, friendly staff and good beer! The place is very down to earth yet storied. Definitely worth a try!

Last night I went to the VC with my boyfriend to meet my sister and her boyfriend for drinks. As soon as I sat at the table, I knew it was going to be an interesting night. It took our server (the only server) only a couple minutes to check in with the table, but I could tell that she was WASTED. She checked my ID, and I ordered drinks for myself and my boyfriend while he was in the bathroom. She came back to the table to check his ID when he sat down, and asked us for our order, which I had already placed. Once our drinks arrived, my sister joined us. The server came back to the table, and took orders from the two who had just joined us at the table. At this point, everyone had mentioned how incoherent and out of it she seemed, and giving her drink orders was actually a struggle. After a few table touches during which she did not get complete orders and forgot to take orders from everyone, we had pretty much decided that she didn't deserve a tip. You know there's something wrong when your server is drunker than you at a bar. I went outside to call a cab, and when I came back, the server was at our table screaming at my boyfriend and my sister about...? Apparently, $1 on the $32 tab (for 4 drinks) wasn't enough, even though she could barely look straight. THEN, instead of giving us a receipt, the server slapped a sticky note on the table with my sisters tab amount written on it. My sister asked politely for an itemized receipt and the server lost it. She started personally insulting each of us and told us to "f*** off". If I had had any more to drink, I would have left. But because I was only two drinks in and almost sober, I wasn't going to take that attitude. I work in the service industry and this girl was the most unprofessional and ridiculous employee I have ever seen. We attempted to speak to the bartender about what had happened, and she didn't seem too concerned. At this point, the server came up to the well, and in front of all the customers at the bar, yelled at us to f*** off and never come back. Needless to say, I will never go back and I would be appalled if this server isn't fired. Totally unprofessional, and a ridiculous experience overall. If I didn't feel so bad that that server needed to get SO MESSED UP to go to work that she couldn't even speak in sentences, it would have been hilarious.
