Viro's Real Italian Bakery, Tucson, Arizona, Italian Restaurant Details

This place has, hands down the BEST Submarines! As they make their own Bread, its delicious! Thier Cod Fish Fry Fridays is also very tasty!

I don't live in Tucson but the few time's I've eaten here I've been very happy. My latest visit (yesterday) my wife and I had the pesto sandwich which was very good, lobster bisque that was wonderful, and some pastries for dessert (I don't remember the names but they were both very good). The place went from empty at 11:10 to packed at 11:30 which suggests they do an excellent regular business. I certainly recommend Viro's (and the prices are very reasonable).

Don't bother calling in an order! Viro's is 3 for 3 with completely failing to even START an order after calling it in 20 - minutes in advance. Awful service with zero explanation or apologies every single time.

To start if you can't cook real Italian food. Why would you think you could cook fish and chips. Over priced! One step above olive garden. If you want real nice Italian. Bread go to LaBagette at Broadway & Pantano!

Food:

Better Gelato can be had elsewhere in Tucson. Their baked goods are stale tasting. Definitely not coming here again. Complete waste of money.
