"Adventurous" chocoholics "looking for something unusual" hit these SoHo–Upper East Side boutique confectioners where the "fantastic" creations feature unexpected "spices" and "extraordinary flavor combinations" (think bittersweet with Taleggio cheese or "wowza bacon bar"); "sleek" purple packaging and "haute prices" add to the "air of exclusivity", and though a few skeptics sigh it's all a little "over-the-top", even they admit you've "got to give points for gutsy" "innovation."
