The lunch special at $10 dollars is a steal. I've only had the lunch special here so I can't really comment on anything. else. All I can really say about the food is that it tasted good. Not the mind-bending experience sushi can be, but you get what you pay for. The ambience is Japanese modern and it's really quite clean. The waitress was extremely helpful and always refilled my tea when my cup was barely half empty.

One of the best lunch spots in Midtown East! They have a fantastic lunch special that has a little bit of everything (a little bit of sushi, chawanmushi, delicious tempura, miso soup and cold soba noodle). Try their sushi as well. There is no mayo drenched special rolls but their uni sushi is particularly wonderful.

What a lovely find on the UES! This small Japanese restaurant has awesome lunch deals. For about $14, you can sample up to five items on the menu - including the soba noodles, tempura, and sashimi. Although my friend opted for this sampler, I enjoyed a large bowl of soba noodles and a side of pickled vegetables. The noodles were nutty, the broth was light and not too salty, and the togarashi spice was spot on. The pickled vegetables were a great cool and crisp contrast to the warm noodles. I can't wait to go back and try everything else!

They have very good sushi. We went there after the lunch hours and as other people have mentioned, it is not that cheap. Two regular rolls and an appetizer is ~23$ after tax and tip (which is reasonable in my opinion). The appetizer was some kind of broiled eggplant, looked beautiful, I didn't like the taste though.
The staff were friendly and the place looked nice. Will try it sometime during lunch hours later.

Ok, listen up. This place probably has the greatest lunch deal you will ever find at a Japanese restaurant in Manhattan. I'm telling you now, this review is ONLY FOR LUNCH.

Everything is WAY too expensive on their menu for how it tastes, BUT if you go there for lunch, they have this awesome lunch special for less than $13 that includes a delicious variety of shrimp tempura, miso soup, steamed egg, sashimi bowl, and soba noodles. It's absolutely delicious and totally worth it; I've yet to find another place that does it like they do.

Service is ok, not the greatest but not terrible either. Price for quality and quantity of food is totally worth it with the lunch special. Anything else on their menu is kinda out of bounds unless you've got money to spend. Would totally come here if I ever was in the area again for lunch!
