Walt's Barbeque, Cincinnati, Ohio Restaurant Details

Food:

Terrible customer service! We eat here about once a week and spend a lot of money on the overpriced food, yet they were unwilling to comp our meals when they forgot the barbeque sauce. We drive half an hour for take-out, but they didn't empathize with our cold food, extra wait and unnecessary drive. Both the manager and the owner were stern on the phone and offered only a slight discount on our next order. Their stance was that "it was only barbeque sauce and the meal is still edible".
This is clearly a restaurant that doesn't value their customers. After years of our business they lost it over $30. The food is good, but it doesn't make up for the way they treat customers.

Use to be a great BBQ place but with new/different ownership the food has gone downhill. Parking lot is always empty so it seems like others have similar feelings. Too bad.

Food:

I ordered rib tips, greens, mac and cheese. They were very good, meat falling off the bone. The greens to me were a little tough, and the mac and cheese was okay. My daughter had a pulled pork sandwich, and that was really good. Oh the fried pickles were good too. Our server Jen was friendly and informative about the menu items. They were out of Brisket when we got there, which is what I wanted to order.

Really Bad! I asked if there was new management because it used to be great with tender juicy ribs that fall off the bond and hardly a place to park. I was told the sons have taken it over, what ever that means. Now there were only a few customers on a week end night. The ribs were tough, dried out and cold. It is a waste of time and money. Too bad, We lost a great place to eat. Read the one one stars. I wrote to the Colerain Store a month ago as a constructive effort but got no re[ply.
