Oh my god, I thought I would never find this restaurant on Google as my brother did everything in his power to try to get me to magically forget this place. When I was in San Francisco, this is the first place my brother brought my parents and I to eat. Let me say it was absolutely disgusting. The first thing I saw when inside were roaches and with all the available seating they had to put us in the most crammed space right next to other people.

We ordered the
Pork Chop Rice Lunch Special
Chicken Fried Rice Lunch Special
Bitter Melon w/Beef Rice Lunch Special
Chinese Brocolli

The lunch special was $5 and comes with your choice of Tea, Coffee or Soy Milk. Let me start off by saying the fried rice was anything but fried. It could pass for mixed rice or wet casserole but NOT Fried. The Pork Chops were really off, tasting more like mushed soggy meat. I mean for all I know, it was more like a discarded food from other customers but reheated by boiling.

Enough said. When I wanted another small cup of Soy Milk, they charged $3. If I knew that I could have got another lunch special....well maybe not. The only reason I would come back is not to eat but because how they put the rice on the plat is actually very amusing. ;-)

Gross. We went in because it had 4 stars, but blech. The tables were sticky. The congee had no flavor at all. I couldn't even eat it. Go somewhere else.

The bakery part of the restaurant looked good when we walked in but service was terrible from when you enter. We had to call the waitress several times before she took our order, one of us got our food quick but the rest of us then we waited for over half an hour for our food when there were just 3 other small tables. We had XO fried rice, congee and black bean noodles. It was tasteless, very oily and the XO was just a dried out chilli on top. Save your money and time and go elsewhere.

The only eatable item here is noodle soup. The jook conghee was hortible and even oily! The chinese bread they made tasted like they dont know how to make it. The rice noodle were thick and oily.
