Our waiter was terrible, arrogant and sloppy. He forgot to bring bread, didn't refill our drinks, got the order wrong, never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert, brought the check unprompted, and was just not attentive at all. The food was mediocre at best. We won't be back.

Have been going here for years. Went to dinner during sun fest, crab cakes had a no flavor, bake potatos had been rewarmed from days past. Very very disappointing. Next time I'll spend more money and go to Philips seafood. Sorry ,it was good in the past, but not the same.

I wish I could give no stars. I was referred to watermans by a co-worker, so I though I'd check it out. I was originally looking for a buffet that didn't cost $35 per person but couldn't, then I remembered watermans. Paid $36 for one meal the steamed platter, it came with a whole lobster, clams, muscles and peel n eat shrimp. I ordered this as a take out item. So I get back to my hotel and the first muscled I eat literally tastes like poop, I almost through up right there. The rest of the muscles were alright except one which hadn't opened. I got 7 clams and four weren't opened, the shrimp was ok, and the lobster was tough n chewy. Nothing had any seasoning. The only think I wanted when I came to Maryland was seafood this was the only place I got seafood from n it was my last day there. I have to say was thoroughly disappointed. And I'm so mad I spent so much for such crappy food. I will NEVER go back and I will NEVER recommend this place!!!

Waterman's used to be a place that I took my family to multiple times every year for over 20 years. The AYCE was always good with the chicken being the BEST in town. After the change in ownership, we started to feel like things started to deteriorate and the crabs were "recycled". The first tray of the AYCE was always cold, missing claws, smaller than #2's, and recooked with some old bay sprinklered on top. After getting through the first tray, subsequent crabs were always hot and better. While we ended up going less often, we would still have dinner there a couple times a year. Prior to the place burning down and being reopened, my wife got violently ill after eating at Waterman's. We went to UrgentCare and they confirmed it was a bad case of food poisoning. Was very serious. UrgentCare was required to report Waterman's to the health department. I wrote a letter to Waterman's to share this experience. I NEVER HEARD A WORD BACK IN FOLLOW-UP. As a result, I called a few weeks later and asked to speak to the owner about the (aforementioned) letter I sent. After being placed on hold for an extended period, I was told owner was not available. I insisted to leave my contact information and requested a call back. I knew I was getting blown off and thats exactly what happened. Their non-response to both my letter and my call made an already bad situation even worse! My wife refused to go back and took Waterman's "off-the-list". A few years later, after Waterman's reopened, my grandkids were in town and my son and his wife wanted to take them to Waterman's. My wife and I reluctantly tagged along and found that things hadn't changed much. New decor but same substandard food quality. My kids got the AYCE. Now this includes hush puppies and french fries along with crabs, corn, chicken, shrimp. Chicken still very good and crabs still seem to be recycled. My kids were disappointed. My wife and I refused to eat the AYCE so we order entrees. These were marginally adequate and very fast-food like. Food quality not good. I wish I could recommend Waterman's because for many years, this used to be our favorite restaurant in town.

went there monday afternoon on may 18, waiter's name was William ( i think) - young tall man. i'm bad at remembering names... anyway service was excellent !! very polite and was great with all the refills. we had the auce steamed crabs and shrimp and chicken and corn. crabs were very good. med. in size but all were heavy but for just one which was a bit of a surprise for the auce deals. love the fried chicken. it's some of the best I've had anywhere. shrimp were pretty good but a little on the small side.they used to be a bit bigger not sure if they are salt water shrimp but tasted like they were .only way to go is salt water shrimp .
