Wendy's, Bangor, Maine Restaurant Details

Ticket #02-7374. I purchased 2 Cod sandwiches w/cheese and a large fry. When I got home I discovered that the Cod had NO cheese and the large fry was a SMALL. What gives??? 947-2842

Gone down hill. They no longer have their salad bar, the place doesn't look all that clean, they still have the same old chairs and tables from 30 years ago some of the vinyl cover has holes in it, their old paneling is starting to come off the walls, also their food isn't that good compared to other Wendy's. I know they supposedly all use the same meats and such but our food was terrible. My chicken sandwich was a little rubbery and tasted bland and the bun tasted slightly bitter. Also their condiment bar was out of ketchup and other items. Makes you wonder if the franchise is failing or if the owner of this particular one just doesn't care. I mean on that same street are brand new looking Burger King, McD's, Dunkin, and other restaurants, while this Wendy's looks like it's more suited to be an abandon building from the 1980s. You'd think they'd have more pride in that particular branch specially since Union St has a lot of newer and renovated buildings that look more professional while this Wendy's sticks out like a sore thumb. My friend didn't like his food either which makes us wonder if it's just this Wendy's that sucks or if the entire franchise is going down hill.

I’ve been going through the drive up of WENDY’s in Bangor, Maine now and then. I enjoy their ‘chili’. A sign on the drive-up menu informs me that they give military discounts. (The Maine Air Nat’l Guard Base is within view of this establishment). For years I’ve received the 10% discount.

Last week I asked for the discount and gave my order for a large ‘chili’. Arrived at the window to pay and was told by the clerk that they are giving military discounts to only active duty people. Being a retired 20 year veteran doesn't qualify any longer.

I wondered why a month ago, they began asking to see my military ID card when I paid for the food.

Just in time for Veterans Day which is a big celebration in Bangor, Maine!!!

When I searched Google maps, the marker for this Wendy's sits square on top of the McDonalds roof! The Wendy's is actually two doors down, towards Bangor!
