Food presentation was nice but food wasn't as flavorful as it could have been. There was a lack of attention in service. Drinks ordered at the beginning of the meal weren't refreshed until after the entree was finished. The waiter never came by to check on us after the entree was served.

The drink menu was extensive, great place for drinks.

Although the steak was good, for $36 I didn't think I'd still be hungry. Great bar tender but telling me the NY strip is 9oz is ridiculous. With all the food options here I'll never come back.

The food is reliably good at this place, but the decor is vapidly bland. I almost feel like I'm at the Aloft hotel at BWI.

A bit of a disappointment given the fame behind Eric Ripert as a fish chef. The tuna tartar appetizer was quite remarkable, but was the only memorable part of the meal. Both fish entrees were competently cooked, but boring. Desert was good, but carbon copies of dishes I've eaten in other cities that frankly did it better. There is better DC choices.

Quiet, comfortable and an easy reservation, this high-end American bistro in the Ritz-Carlton has a lot going for it, starting with its satisfying, solid cooking; roomy booths and soft lighting set the pleasant mood, while excellent service seals the deal.
