Good food and good value at their luncheon buffet. The dishes are quite flavorful and there's good variety. It would be nice if they'd rotate different dishes through the buffet menu. Service at dinner was attentive, but it's somewhat pricier and is not as good a value as the lunch. Outdoor dining is pleasant during spring and fall ... it's just too darned hot during the summer. I managed to tune out the noise from the Massachusetts Avenue traffic.

White Tiger closed for renovation in late Summer 2012. I hope they re-open soon.

Been there couple of times for Office lunch. Nice decor, and the service is ok. The buffet is not too good if you are looking for the authentic Indian food, but not too bad if you want to switch from your regular Salads and Paninis.

I came in expecting good Indian food (the place looked like it was very authentic), but I was very disappointed. The rice had basically no flavor, and everything was overpriced. One bright spot, however, was our server who could have not been nicer and was very attentive. I wouldn't be quick to recommend the White Tiger. Bottom line: you can definitely find better and cheaper Indian food without too much effort.

Well, overall the food was pretty good. However, an inattentive server can make or break a lasting impression on a restaurant, especially if you have to wave him down to ask for a beer...to make it worse, he never brought the beer and only remembered as I was asking for the check.
The biggest drawback here was- if you are going to advertise SAFFRON RICE, you have to give people SAFFRON RICE, because it is a very distinct and delicious flavor that goes well with the other food served. The rice that was served to me and my fiance was plain ol' rice...no saffron! If you know anything about saffron, its kind of hard to get away with NOT putting it in your rice....
