Although I am a huge fan of WF, I've been dissappointed in the declining quality at the Greensboro store lately.
The greens on the salad bar over the past couple of months has often been disgusting - pieces of black, rotting lettuce, arugula, etc. in the mix. If not rotting pieces, then often with many or mostly wilted pieces. I have brought it to the attention of the kitchen manager on duty at least 4 times, always with a promise to do better. However, the next time I go in, it's the same.
The latest problem has been with the ground pork bought from the meat counter. Last week I bought a couple of pounds. The outside was pink and fresh. However, when I broke the roll open, the inside was brown and smelled bad. This was the day after buying it. Yesterday, I bought another pound of ground pork. There is so much fat in it, it makes me feel sick to eat.
When this store first opened, I was impressed with how conscientious the staff seemed - happy, wanting to provide the best product & service. However, something seems different as of late - they seem dejected and apathetic. Is there new management at this store, what's going on? Whatever the problem, someone is not getting the message to some of the staff that the Whole Foods' brand includes top quality.
That is why shoppers like me are willing to pay higher prices - top quality. I spend $1000 a month on average at WF mostly on prepared foods and groceries. I also own stock in WF. I'm beginning to rethink my shopping and investment decisions.

Greensboro, NC | WHOLE FOODS MARKET has great prices and unique selections. Love, love, love the SALAD BAR and Green Tea!! I occasionally get a slice of the spinach and mushroom pizza-it's good too!

This is one of the best places I have seen in Greensboro to buy fruits and organic food items. Didn't yet come across a better place than this !

Few things are costly for example: cut pineapples small one was 7$ !!!

This particular store is BY FAR the most beautiful and clean Whole Foods Market I've ever shopped at (out of about 15, in different states). I really appreciate their friendliness (no pun on the location intended) and the workers are very knowledgeable about the products they offer. They have a very wonderful seafood department and the salad bar selection is pretty grand as well. Highly recommended, if you're looking to go grocery shopping in the area, because seriously, no other grocers in the area even come close to their quality.
