06/09/2015 11:06 amWhole Foods is becoming the new Publix. I live right next to the North Miami location. Since it was Bread and Circus in the Massachusetts I have been a loyal patron. Why? Because I trusted the quality of the products and the freshness of the food. Once in a while - I expect to get an item that might be expired or faulty. But in the past 6 months I have purchase more than a half a dozen items that were expired, rancid or spoiled. From meats to fish to dairy - even their flowers and hot bar food has been disappointing. I am NOT the type of person to return things to grocery stores but I spend around $150 a week there and its unacceptable that the shelf life of products are not maintained in a top-notch manner. If I want to take risks with my food I will go to Publix. I bought Crab Legs last night for a dinner party. As I boiled them an infuriating stench filled my entire house that smelled SO bad I was embarrassed when my guests came over and had to light 4 candles to mask the smell. Bottom line is I should get a paycheck for doing Quality Assurance. Now when I shop there - I check ALL the labels for expiration dates and I also feel like I cannot rely on what the staff says. Bought rancid sausages and fish from them - and you would think they would have first hand exposure to knowing if their products were spoiled. Just disgusted. Hope you fix this and regain my confidence because I really do love Whole Foods and never had this issue in any other state before. |

06/04/2015 5:48 pmVery disappointed! BUYER BE AWARE! They label the wrong product to sell more higher price! Due to diet restrictions, I have to eat fish at least once a week. I love the wild king salmon, despite the fact that prices have gone through the roof. I went to Whole Foods because their price for wild king salmon is $7 below everyone else per pound. Well, guess what? The label said "wild king salmon" but in reality it was sockeye! Price for sockeye is $20 per pound and they sold it to me as wild king salmon for $26 per pound! I eat enough salmon to know the difference, I'm from Alaska for God's sake, I grew up around salmon. They were nice enough to exchange it for me saying that it was a misunderstanding, but the new "wild king salmon" they gave me was sockeye again! BUYER BE AWARE! Never going back! I'd rather stick with Publix's higher prices, at least it's real wild king salmon. |

04/08/2015 5:47 pmLook if i decide to pay 2x3x times the price for a better fruit i expect to be ok i keep buying watermelon hoping they will be ok but they are all shitty, its just a mushy water either they kept it wrong or it whatever all watermelons from Whole foods are horrible , Oranges are whatever as well. If by Organic they mean we only guarantee organic but not freshness or taste then they can have it to themselves. nuts are good :) |
