Wild Jacks Steak & Bbq, Orlando, Florida Restaurant Details

Food:

Went here with my family that was visiting from Montana. We chose this restaurant as it was right next to the Coco Key Resort, which is where they were staying. The first odd thing we noticed was that the restaurant opened at 5pm, yet at nearly 7pm, there wasn't a single car in the parking lot, which we just attributed to people walking there, much like us. When we entered the establishment, we were the only group there. Our hostess was very friendly and accommodating to our group which consisted of 10 people, one of which was an 8 month old baby and 2 which joined us about 15 minutes after we arrived. They took our orders to that everything would go as quick as possible, however this wound up not being the case. Our appetizers arrived promptly, and were undoubtedly the best part of the meal, as lack-luster as they were. The nachos were mediocre at best, however their Gator Bites were alright, we even had one member switch his order to solely that after tasting them.
The salads were plain and hardly worth the wait of an hour, the soup (chicken and veg) was bland and cold.
The serving of our main entrees is where the real problems arose. Firstly it took over an hour from when are salads were served, which was understandable because we had 10 people, but then again we were the ONLY ones dining at the time. They brought out one plate 20 minutes before the others, then brought out 5 more and then another 10 minutes until the last 4 were brought out.
One member ordered a T-bone steak and was served a New York strip, the flavor was still alright but when you're paying for a meal, you should get what you pay for.
All 3 of the hamburgers that were ordered were extremely over-cooked despite being ordered medium-rare, 2 out of 3 of them being completely charred on one side.
Another steak that was ordered was completely blackened with char and had to be sent back, where they removed the steak at the table. (Most restaurants would take the whole plate)
I ordered the salmon and when I flipped it over it was completely black on the underside, I've never seen salmon even close to being cooked, much less served, like that.
It was one members birthday and they did bring out a complementary slice of chocolate cake (which was very good), however the hostess said that no one else was there to sing as they were all busy. (Not a big deal, just odd being that at this point there were only 2 additional tables being waited on)

My family and I came to have a meal on our vacation. Two of us ordered filet mignon and the server told us they did not have any. Next, I ordered a glass of moscato and was told once again that they did not have any. Another person in my party wanted sugar for their beverage and they could not supply that either. We waited 80 min for one plate to come out and it was horrible. A few more plates started to come sporadically and at that point, we had enough. I asked to speak to one of the two managers on duty and was told they were too busy to come out. I questioned the server as to why they were too busy when there was only 4 tables (including ours) at the time. Finally, a female manager came out and barely even listened to what I was saying. She seemed almost like she knew what was coming and this was a regular occurence. In broken english, she told us to pay for whatever we had consumed and walked away. We have never had such a bad dining experience in all of our lives.

Absolute worst restaurant I have ever been to. Went here 8 years ago and the food and service was good. Then tonight Friday March 13,2015 my family and I came here around 6:30 and the place was maybe a 1/4 full if that. It took 25 minutes to get drinks and took 35 to get salad. There salad is a big joke, we should have left then. It took an hour and 20 minutes to get the food and each plate was brought to the table individually. The food was not good at all. The table behind us had to talk to a manager and so did we, this lady does not care about the business at all, it took her 10 minutes to come and talk. By the time we finally left at 8:30 the place was empty and it was a Friday night! I have never written a review about a place before and rarely complain about food but for this place it had to be done. Please avoid this place.

Food:

ribs are no better then Fridays or any other quick food chains. tip added for a party of 3, not really an issue, but menu said for groups of 6 or more. I don't appriciated being lied to. also they charge extra for sharing plates and the chef can not tell the diffrent between medium rare and medium. was rather disappointing.

Food:

I ordered the T-bone steak and I have to say that it has been one of the best steaks I have ever had! The server was energetic and treated my wife and I with great care. Overall my visit to Wild Jacks was amazing, I will definitely go back when I am in Orlando!
