03/03/2016 4:37 pmReally good restaurant in a lovely Portland neighborhood. Try anything with meat and let them serve you their wine recommendation. One tip: Ask for Oregon wine - you'll be surprised to find out what great red wines come out of Oregon. |

07/27/2013 4:45 amReally enjoyed our meal. Went there on a Sat night, got a table outside right away, and were greeted almost instantly by our server. Food was very good and the service was outstanding. We wished that there were more choices on the menu but we understand. The chef has chosen to make only a few things but make them quite well. It's honestly a little too gourmet for our taste but we're kind of the exception in Portland. I think that most foodies will really enjoy this place. |

05/28/2013 3:49 amI have been wanting to go here for a very long time and finally made it for my birthday. The service was poor, we asked the waiter if there were any specials and he said "only what was on the menu" we then overheard him talking about a special ribeye that could be substituted for the flank steak. We asked him about it and he was like "oh yeah we have that.." Most of the food was very good to excellent but my flank steak was the toughest meat I have every had in my life. I just kept chewing it and couldn't even swallow it, everyone at the table tried it and agreed. I had never done this before but I decided to send it back and asked for the ribeye instead. It took about 20 minutes before that came out and by then everyone had finished their food. The ribeye was much better although a little bit fatty. When we got our check I was surprised to see that I was charged a full $12 more for the ribeye. The waiter had never mentioned anything about an increase in price and $12 was over 1/3 more than the flank steak. One would think he would have mentioned this or at least charged me for what I originally ordered as he admitted there was something wrong with the flank steak plus I had to wait a whole 20 minutes more while everyone ate in front of me. The least he could have done was removed the corkage fee. Overall most of the food was excellent. The portions were very small and expensive but tasty. I had really high hopes for Wildwood but I left disappointed due to the poor service. |

06/16/2006 12:00 amsometimes crowded, sometimes noisy, and sometimes rushed, wildwood still delivers some of the best food in portland. seafood selections are especially good, and portions are always generous. the servers know the food items well and can answer any questions easily and accurately. the space is attractive although not flashy, and the location convenient for its area. wildwood is a good showplace for out-of-town guests who want to sample northwest foods and wines. it also has a lively bar area in the front. |
