05/03/2015 10:06 pmThough no longer in the Greenberg family, this "old-time" UES bakery (with a Plaza Food Hall offshoot) continues its "long history" of rolling out "classy", "delicious" kosher baked goods that are perfect "for that special occasion", including "fabulous" black-and-white cookies, schnecken, babka and brownies; these days, it's perhaps best known for its "unbelievable architectural" wedding cakes deemed "worth" the significant price and the "zillions of calories" – bring on the "butter." |

11/13/2014 9:39 pmHands down the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever tried. |

08/26/2014 7:08 pmI have ordered black-and-white cookies from Greenberg's several times. The last few orders were stale when they arrived. The final order tasted weeks old and not edible. The icing was hard and crumbly, and the cookie was dry and stale. I complained twice and then threw them away. I have yet to hear back from Greenberg's. Something seems to have changed with their business and not for the better. I will not order again. |

06/19/2014 1:35 pmThe best chocolate cake in New York, deceptively low-rise but devilishly rich. Also wonderful are the schnecken, large and small, as well as the pies. New owners have given the goods a somewhat commercial look but they have kept the recipes for the original items and they're still delectable. |

05/19/2014 5:35 pmThey have some tasty desserts. Location is excellent for a quick snack when your shopping. I stopped in for a chocolate cupcake with sprinkles and it was delicious. Will be back to try more items. The cheese cake looked interesting;) |

03/29/2013 3:00 pmWilliam Greenberg the original owner of the William Greenberg Desserts picked up baking from his aunt. Despite the fact that ownership of this desserts shop has changed hands about two times since it's opening in 1940, William Greenberg Jr. Desserts still uses the original recipes. The Black and White cookies are customer's favorites and the staff is friendly and personable. Overall a nice experience. |
