This is what I call and old world restaurant. I feel like I'm back in Europe and love the casual atmosphere and excellent food.

I got food poisoning from the fried perch sandwich I ate here yesterday. It's basically all I ate yesterday so it had to be from the perch. Been sick for an entire day now. Never going back here!!

Great food, waitor was great. Serving times were a little slow, but they were full of customers. Party of 7 (including two kids) so all in all good night!

Based on a local friends recommendation I had dinner at Windward Passage, and I took a trip back in time!

Normally, I would never have found (or visited) an establishment somewhat hidden in a strip mall without any real online presence. After searching online I was surprised to see no website or claimed social media presence, so I could only rely on various reviews across the web; they were positive.

Then I arrived and walked in, and that's where the real time-warp began. I felt like I had boarded a dry-docked ship turned museum. I'm guessing the dimly lit, wood and ship-themed atmosphere is part of the "charm", as the place was packed with a lively crowd of mostly "older" locals. Walkers and canes were parked up against the booths and tables. Apparently their customers are as old as the decor, but they were a friendly bunch; one woman called me a "cute young man" - I think she wanted to take me back to her assisted living facility :)

The menu looked dated, but the food was good and the prices (much like the wallpaper) was stuck in circa 1973. I had a beer for $2! Steak was excellent, chowder not so much. Service was excellent.

Bon voyage!
