Wing Zone, Raleigh, North Carolina Restaurant Details

Food:

I was having a small group of friends over and decided to order some wings to snack on. I had never ordered from Wing Zone before but had always passed it and knew they delivered so I checked it out. Ordering online was easy; however, it took almost 2 1/2 hours for the food to arrive. 2 1/2 hours. I could have walked to Wing Zone and back home in 30 minutes! To boot, the wings were not even wings, they were chickent pieces (delivery driver said they ran out of wings - what kind of wing place runs out of wings????) and they were just basic heated chicken tenders. They just give you a dipping sauce for how you thought you were ordering your wings. I could have just as quickly run to Food Lion and popped some chicken bites in the microwave and put some Franks Red Hot Sauce in a dipping bowl. Ridiculous! I will never order from here again.

I ordered regular wings from here and decided to pick them up since there was a 2 hour delivery time. When i got there they were out of regular wings and only had boneless. What wing place runs out of wings???? I will never order from here again.

I ordered food from here at 9:33 pm and did not receive it until 11:20. I used an app to order it and on the app it said my price was $16.10 but when it FINALLY arrived the delivery guy said it was $19.26. Before my food arrived I talked to someone about the delay and asked them if I'd still have to pay full price and they said I would but I don't understand why since it was extremely late but I didn't push any further. I paid for my food (the $19.26) and was about to eat when I opened my box and felt that my food was cold so I called the store again andr complained and they said they'd only be able to give me $3 credit since there was a price discrepancy and that was all they could do smh. I will not be ordering from here again.

Whole experience couldn't have been worse. Online website waits until the last step to tell you that they don't deliver to your home (I live within the SAME zipcode), even though you start the order by clicking "for delivery" or "for pick-up". So I canceled the order and called it in. I specifically ordered/paid 50 cents extra for 4 additional sauces with my large order of boneless wings. I was told 45 minutes for delivery time. Food came and hour late (on a Monday night) and there were ZERO sauces in the bag. The boneless wings were cold, soggy, and gross. Just awful.

The first time I went to wingzone was with a buddy of mine back in 2009. It was awesome, a cool little spot with such grate flavor and location. We grabbed our food and chilled at the bell tower then went out to some local bars. Wings and beer, need I say more? My FAVORITE wings are the honey BBQ original, none of that boneless crap although my friends who do like boneless LOVE these wings. I live just outside of their delivery zone so I call my orders in and pick them up, or take a nice walk down there and order in person (the wait is never too long). The staff is chill and laid back but #never rude. I've done Wingzone 2 days straight so you know it's a great spot. When you want Buffalo Brothers type wings but you're not in like Garner or Knightdale, hook it up in Down town Raleigh with Wingzone~ You won't regret it.
