What a wonderful place. Sad to have lost it with Louis's retirement.

I am baffled by all the high ratings for this place. I grew up in Alabama and spent almost 10 years in Georgia, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone for pork barbecue. Maybe it is their beef that is the appeal. I am from the South, so I do not eat beef as barbecue. Even Famous Daves or Brothers is better than this place when it comes to pork. Sorry.

I don't know what family members of this eatery wrote all of the good reviews for them, but I hope they were paid well. The gentleman that serves the food, and I use the term gentleman lightly, was downright mean and the wait time was about 45 minutes even after 1:00pm. For bad service and long waits the food was not even half as good as some of the other local bbq joints who actually appreciate your business like Earl's or Yazoo. So overall Wolfe's Barbeque can keep their food and they can keep their rude!
