So my co-worker and I went to woody's for lunch and this was the worst lunch experience ever!!!!!!!
on 5-5-2015 we chose to sit outside bc it was such a nice day. we waited about 8 minutes before our drink order was taken. When we finally got our WATER bc that is what we ordered that took about 6 more minutes, the waitress sat the water on the table and instead of taking our order hurried to the table behind us to take another drink order. She never came back and then about 15 minutes later my friend went to the bar to place our order. She was then met by the waitress and said it will be ANOTHER 15 MINUTES BC THE MANAGER TOLD THEM TO MAKE THE CUSTOMERS WAIT THAT LONG BC THE KITCHEN WAS BACKED UP! OK!!!!!!!!!! QUESTION: WHY WAS WE NOT TOLD IN THE BEGINNING?? then the waitress said I will put the order in now and get it to you fast as I can. we continued to wait which now OUR LUNCH BREAK IS OVER and we have NOT had ANYTHING TO EAT. so we asked could our ticket be altered or something for the inconvenience that occurred. the waitress said no bc the manager told her to let the customers know when they first arrive that it would be a 15 minute wait BEFORE THE ORDER IS EVEN TAKEN. I requested the manager and she came out. My friend and I was both calm and explained to her the manager what CHLOE the waitress had informed us. SHE was so focused on saying how she will talk to the waitress she basically heard nothing we said. She told us she can take the TO GO CHARGE OFF but I'm like we came here to DINE IN!!!! AND CHARGED US $1.00 BC THEY WERE NOT DISPLAYING GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE
MY friend asked for at least a complimentary soda for the wait and the MANAGER SAID no bc it WAS NOT A PART OF YOUR MEAL.............. DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! THAT'S WHY I SAID COMPLIMENTARY!!! the food was NOT GOOD. the chicken sandwich was overcooked the tator tots were cold and the food had no taste. I would not recommend this as a good place to eat.....
BY THE WAY THE HORRIBLE MANAGER THAT DID NOT LISTEN TO OUR COMPLAINT AT ALL IS NAMED JESSICA!

.We ordered the Philly Sandwhich and the Tarheel Burger, bland as hell! The burger and pulled pork had barely any flavor. I'm not sure if these folks are appealing to the hipster crowd or if they are just really dense, but literally every beer but 3 on the draft list was an IPA, Stout, or Porter.

If managent is reading this, take a clue when the majority of your customers are drinking from the bottle or taking shots. You have a sh** draft collection, get some variety; it is winter not Canada.... not every beer has to be a winter warmrler. You need to have a max of 2 stouts or porters; max 4 IPAs. The beer was flat and one was sour. Call up Cary and have them send you menus and new cooks. Your Cary location should be the standard the rest of your locations should meet. Your interior is cozy, and that's good. Fix this place! Your bartender was fine, she was very polite and helpful.

Have to echo the other poor reviews here - mediocre food served cold by an extremely overworked and inattentive crew. Was like pulling teeth (20+ minutes) to get drink refills; manager was also tending bar and therefore unavailable, and it appeared that the waitstaff had been instructed to prioritize high-profit items (beer) over everything else. No interest in returning; far better alternatives exist.

Woody's is a sports bar with a lot of loudness to it. The place is covered in sports, beer, and just random items from all over including a moose with bras hanging off it. In addition to the must-have domestic beers Woody's caters to your inner beer snob along with all the other bar foods that come with watching sports. Plenty of TV's and feeds to watch almost any game you can think of.

After living in Raleigh for 14 years, we finally decided to try Woody's. It is AMAZING. The menu is creative and KILLER, and the food was DELICIOUS. We got poppers, chicken wings, and quesadillas (half-price happy hour). The food was SOOO good, and the hot wings were flavorful, but not hot compared to the phenomenal jalapeno poppers. The waitress warned us the poppers are hot. No joke! REAL jalapenos, absolutely huge, and the hottest and best we've ever had! My husband said he's horrified they'll change their menu - it's amazing, and we can't wait to try more. The only down side we experienced was that two of the craft beers we ordered (out of six) were out. The waitress had great recs on what we'd like instead, though. Great vibe, great location, FUN servers, and legendary food. WHY haven't we been eating here sooner?!
