Walking in thw city and wanted to pick up something on the go. These buns are packed with the right combination of flavor and spice. I like the quickness of the service.

My only critique is that I would have liked the buns seaming hot but a good product overall.

Got a bite to eat from their booth at Lolla not really expecting much for the 6 bucks given the price of festival food but I was so surprised by how good it was. Cant wait to get in the restaurant and try the rest of the menu.

The cashier was happy to answer my questions about the food and ginger ale. He was very friendly. The ginger ale was ok, though it could have been a little sweeter, and needed more pomegranate. The bao and rice dishes were good, though they didn't have a terribly unique taste. It looks really cool

HOT. ASIAN. BUNS.
Perfect on-the-go lunch food at a pretty reasonable price. I love that I can use my LEYE card here for points during my lunch & love that they have 2 locations nearby in the Loop.

What to order: The lunch combo: 2 baos (edamame & coconut custard) & the asian salad or veggie potstickers & the asian salad (always crunchy & fresh, great dressing too).

Wao Bao is one of the Lettuce Entertain You restaurant group's places. They also own Petterino's and the Big Bowl chain. I normally avoid chains, but LEY's places are different. They not only go for high quality ingredients but know how to set up an efficient kitchen and good service. Wow Bao is a bit different than most of their places. It is very casual and best described as "asian fast food". The Hibiscus lemonade is the bomb! Their potstickers really tasty especially when complimented with the sauce. Their meals are simple, but flavorful. I make sure to stop here a few times every time I'm in Chicago. I dig the technology setup, but they haven't quite gotten it down. Sometimes the order by website doesn't work and the kiosks seem to be broken as often as not. You rarely need them as it is just as efficient to order in person and it there is rarely much of a wait for the food afterwards.
