10/24/2013 8:24 pmWorse place ever! They don't make fresh food. Salad, soup, rice everything from last night or even later. They don't know how to serving people, or know how to cook |

03/31/2013 7:52 pmThis is hands down the worst dining experience I have ever had. Service was slow, order was wrong, and our server was talking on his cell phone and all of us had empty drinks. That's just for starters! The food I'll just put it this way, I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. Our bill was $59 for 3 people at lunch time. I felt like running out the door. Our server still on his cell didn't even acknowledge us leaving. This place is a waste of space. |

05/31/2012 8:54 pmYuck! Gross! I ordered an Gyros, fries and a soda. The gyros was disgusting. The meat they used was definitely not lamb. I don't know what it was but it was gross. They tried to hide the taste with chili pepper (or something like it) but it was still gross. The yogurt sauce was not yogurt. I don't know what it was except it was gross. Hardly any fresh vegetables. I ate half the sandwich and then threw it away. The fries were OK and the soda, a can of Squirt, was great. I would drive by this place several times a week around 6 PM and there were hardly any cars in the parking lot. I know this is not a good sign for a restaurant but they had that huge advertisement that they were the Westword best Mediterranean food in Denver in 2007. So I thought I would try it. What a mistake. GGGGGrooooooosss! |

12/16/2011 1:24 amMan this place is great! The food is delicious! Great portions for the price. I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. I now eat here every weekend since they got new people. The atmosphere is nice and exotic. I also love the arabic music videos that they play. Seriously, try a sandwich, (chicken shawarma, my favorite), for lunch it's filling and delicious. The lamb shank literally falls off the bone and is sooooo juicy. |

04/26/2008 9:21 pmI have been to the middle east. Ya Halas food is NOT authentic middle eastern nor is it anything I would positively mention to anyone. The service is deplorable, making even the most laid back european diner cringe. Bad People, Bad Service(Maybe the worst in the world), OK food. Best of Denver two years in a row...WHAT A JOKE...shame on you Westword. Go just one block south down Colorado to Damascus Syrian Restaurant for Excellent Food, Excellent Service, and friendly employees! I do not work for nor am i paid by any outside party, I'm just honest. |
